to부정사가 be동사 다음에 나와서 주격보어로 쓰이는 경우 원형부정사를 쓸 수 있습니다만 이 경우 일정한 제약이 있습니다.
'what'이나 'all', 'the only thing' 등이 유도하는 명사절로서 일반동사 'do'와 함께 사용되어야 합니다.
즉 다음의 예문과 같은 경우입니다.
What you have to do is (to) wait for her to come to see you.
What he's done is (to) spoil the whole thing.
All I did was (to) break the glass.
The only thing I can do is (to) run.
따라서 Q.의 예문은 'to'를 생략하고 쓸 수 없습니다.
