1. Morning Word


  1) Step 1

      bump around : ~에 부딪치다, 찧다 > hit unseen objects

      fart around : 빈둥거리다 > waste time, be nonproductive

      shift around : 움직이다, 위치를 바꾸다 > move, change position


  2) Step 2

      Leave a light on so we don't bump around in the dark.

      깜깜한 데서 부딪치지 않게 불을 켜 놔.

      All he does is fart around and kill time.

      그가 하는 짓이라곤 허송세월이며 시간이나 때우는 것뿐이야.

      Tie down the load or it might shift around.

      짐을 꽉 묶어. 안 그러면 이리저리 움직일 테니까.

      bump into : 우연히 마주치다

      fart about : 허송세월하며 지내다, 빈둥거리다

      work the night shift : 야간근무를 하다

       Stop farting about it.

       Working the night shift is very hard for me.

                 비밀 하나 알려 줄께요.

      Alice  : If you're telling me, then it's not much of a secret.

                나한테 말하면 더 이상 비밀스럽지 않지.

      Fiona : Perhaps we shouldn't.

                말하지 말까 봐.

      Faith  : We decided we should.

                 말하기로 헀잖아.

      Fiona : If we tell her, she won't be surprised.

                말하면 놀라지 않잖아.

      Faith : Will you be surprised?

                놀랄 거예요?

      Alice : Not if you tell me.

               말하면 안 놀라지.

               But now you've brought it up, you have to.

               근데 너희가 얘기를 꺼냈으니까 말해야지.

      secret : 비밀

      Can you keep a secret under your hat?

      비밀 지킬 수 있어?

      bring it up : 끄집어내다, 꺼내다

      I forgot so I'm glad you brought it up.

      잊고 있었는데 상기시켜 줘서 고마워.

      I couldn't recall at all. 전혀 기억해낼 수가 없었어.

      A : How's your cold?

           감기 좀 어때?

      B : Bad. Last night, I couldn't sleep at all.

           심해. 어젯밤에 전혀 잘 수가 없었어.

      A : Get lots of vitamin C.

           비타민 C를 많이 섭취해.

      희생양, 속죄양 ---> fall guy

      A : It's your fault !

           그건 네 잘못이야.
