1. hang out
To hang out is simply to spend time. We can understand this especially
if we understand hang is to be casual and just loose, nothing specific
nothing very strict or organized.
So you can hang out at a coffee shop. You can hang out at home.
You can hang out in the kitchen. You can hang out at work.
To spend time somewhere doing nothing special.
▶ hang out은 쉽게 말해 시간을 소비하는 것이다. 이렇게 이해할 수 있는데
특히 우리가 hang을 평범하고 느슨한 것으로 이해한다면 어떤 것도 구체적이지
않고 어떤 것도 엄격하거나 잘 짜여지지 않은 것을 말한다.
그래서 커피숍에서 시간을 보낼수도 있고 집에서, 부엌에서 일터에서 시간을
보낼 수 있다. 어디에서 특별히 아무 것도 안 하면서 시간을 보내는 것이다.
2. ask out
Ah, well, of course, to ask is to perhaps try to get information.
However to ask out is a little different. Ask out is to invite someone
to go on a date.
▶ 물론 ask는 정보를 얻으려고 노력하는 것이다. 하지만 ask out은
조금 다른다. ask out은 어떤 사람에게 데이트를 신청하는 것이다.
3. break out
To break out basically is to start something. Well, you know, sometimes
we use this expression if you start a skin problem,
if pimples or rash begins to happen on your skin.
▶ break out은 기본적으로 어떤 것을 시작하는 것이다. 알파시피 가끔
우리는 이 표현을 피부에 문제가 생겼을 때 사용한다. 여드름이나 발진이
피부에 생기면 말이다.
