Congratulations! You know the beginning of a new semester is often very exciting but at the same time it can be a little confusing.

Students have to adopt new classes and new friends and new schedules and teachers. Well the very famous poet John Keats said well begun is half done. That’s a bad one. I would use instead not begun at all until half done

< Pattern Practice>

1. 너 누구한테 문자 보내는 거야? > Who are you texting?

2. 그거야 당연한 거지 > That is a given (=it goes without saying that)

Ex)

Who are you texting? That’s is for me to know (and for you to find out) > 상관하지 마

Winter mornings are cold. That’s a given > 겨울 아침은 진짜 추워. 당연하지

<John’s recap>

As everyone well knows, winter mornings are very chilly and cold. Well that’s a given. We all know and understand that already.

And sometimes on a cold winter morning you might be wanting to reach out and touch someone.

You might want to send a message to your friend and your loved one and say darling it’s so cold.

I wish you were holding me to keep me warm. Jake might ask hey who are you texting? Don’t tell them. That’s for you to know. You don’t have to tell them anything

A My next guest, Gordon Gekko

Was one of the biggest names on Wall street

In the 80s before he went to prison for inside trading

 and securities fraud

He's out with a new book

and it is a shocker, believe me

It is called. "Is greed good?"

The man himself is here with us

Gordon, Good to have you on the problem
