I'm pretty rusty.
Let's imagine Jake, that when you have some skill or ability, perhaps you're like a machine, fantastic, working very well. What happens if you put that machine or your ability outside in the rain and you don't touch it, you just don't exercise, don't practice, what's gonna happen? The machine is going to develop a bad coating.
That coating is called rust.
If your skill is not as good as before, you might say I'm pretty rusty.
Let's remember this does mean I had the skill before, but I'm losing the skill. It's going away from me. I'm pretty rusty. That's a scarce quality.
Oh yea, I think we know words such as unique and special and even rare.
Here's another one, very similar. scarce. Scarce means very rare.
