A man actually was taking photographs with his camera of several cruisers that were illegally parked. And one of the police cars took up two handicap parking spaces.

Now while the man was taking pictures, a police officer placed the man against the wall, and resulted in a lawsuit.

"Hands up! Drop the camera!"

It's very important that the police are held to the law as well. They are not above the law. I'll just recommend "Don't really confront them."

Here in the special city of Seoul, South Korea is a place called Namsan, South Mountain and through Namsan there are many tunnels.

1. shelley의 생애
영국의 낭만 시인. 부유한 지주이자 준남작의 큰아들로 태어나 명문 이튼 학교를 거쳐 옥스퍼드의 유니버시티 칼리지에 들어가 공부하며 사회적 엘리트로서 성장하였다.
그는 자기중심적이며 자신에 찬 젊은이로써 철학을 사랑하고 정통성을 경멸하여 재학 도중 18세의 나이로 급진적 사상을 담은 팸플릿 <무신론의 필요성 The Necessity of Atheism>을 출판하는 말썽을 일으켜 퇴학 처분을 받는다.
그 후 19세까지 5권의 책을 출간하고 1811년 19세의 나이로 16세의 신부인 해리엇 웨스트브룩(Harriet Westbrook)을 만나 결혼한다.
하지만 셸리는 곧 그의 지적 스승이었던 철학자 윌리엄 고드윈(William Godwin)과 여권옹호자 메리 울스턴크래프트(Mary Wollstonecraft)을 만나고 이들의 딸인 16세 소녀 메리(Mary Godwin)를 사랑하게 된다. 사랑 없는 결혼 생활은 부도덕이라는 자신의 신념에 따라 1814년 Shelly는 Herriet을 버리고 Marry와 France로 도피행각을 벌인다. 1807년에 발표된 작품으로, 자연과 인간과의 교감을 낭만적으로 노래한 4연의 서정시이다.

윌리엄 워즈워스가 1803년 9월에서 1825년 5월에 걸쳐 스코틀랜드의 북부 고원지대인 하일랜드를 여행하면서 시상을 얻었다고 하며, 시를 쓰던 친구 새뮤얼 콜리지(Samuel Coleridge)와 자신의 여동생 등과 함께 하일랜드 지방을 여행하던 중에 추수하는 아가씨의 노래를 듣게 된다.

노래는 은은하고 서글픈 곡조였는데, 오랫동안 그 노랫소리를 떠올리며 이 시를 썼다고 한다. 하일랜드 지방에서 흔히 들을 수 있는 추수하는 아가씨의 노랫소리를 제재로 하여 ‘인간의 근원적인 고독과 애환’을 노래했다.

추수하는 아가씨의 애잔한 노랫가락에 인생의 애환이 융화된 듯한 상태를 보여주면서, 자연에 순응하고 인생을 연민하는 애련한 감정을 느끼게 한다.

제1연은 추수하는 아가씨의 노랫소리를 듣고 독자에게 그 노래를 들어보라고 하고,

제2연은 아가씨의 구슬픈 노랫가락을 통해 시인의 상상력을 펼쳐 보인다. 대조법을 활용함으로써, 이국적인 정취를 느끼게 하는 상상력이 돋보인다.

제3연은 노래 가사의 내용을 감상하고 있는데, 그것은 옛날의 이야기이면서 지금의 이야기이자 앞으로도 있을 인생의 이야기임을 암시한다.

제4연은 오래도록 시인의 마음에 들려오는 애잔한 가락의 여운을 그리고 있다.

작품 해설>
이 작품은 wordsworth가 직접 자연을 바라보며 쓴 것이 아니고 월킨스의 <스코틀랜드 기행>을 읽고 영감을 받아서 고원에서 혼로 가을걷이를 하는 아가씨를 상상하여 쓴 시라고 한다.

시인은 1연에서 고원에서 혼자 쓸쓸하게 노래를 부르는 아가씨를 묘사함으로서 추수꾼의 고독, 외로움을 강조하고 있고 2연에서 아가씨의 노래를 나이팅게일과 뻐꾸기의 노래 와 비교하여 청순하고 구슬픈 노래를 더욱 돋보이게 하고 있으며 3연과 4연에서 그 노래가 무슨 노래인지 알지는 못하지만 가식이 없는 인간의 진지한 영혼의 목소리임을 주장한다.
이 시는 돈호법을 사용함으로서 독자를 시에 참여시키고 그렇게 함으르서 보다 독자와 친밀한 교감을 꾀하고 있다.

웨스트민스터 다리 위에서

EARTH has not anything to show more fair:

지상에 이보다 더 아름다운 광경이 어데 있으랴.

Dull would he be of soul who could pass by

이처럼 감동적인 장관을 두고

A sight so touching in its majesty:

그냥 지나쳐 가는 자의 영혼은 무디리라.

This City now doth, like a garment, wear

이 도시는 지금 아침의 아름다움을

The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,

옷처럼 입고 있나니! 말없이, 알몸으로

Ships, towers, domes, theatres, and temples lie

선박과 탑, 원형지붕과 극장, 교회들이

Open unto the fields, and to the sky;

들녘과 하늘을 향해 누워 있다.

All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.

모두들 매연 없는 대기 속에 찬란히 빛나고 있다.

4~5연 : 당시 런던은 지저분하고 더러운 공기. 그러나 예기치 않은 아름다움이었기에 자기가 살고 있는 도시가 갑자기 너무 아름답게 입은 것(속은 안 그렇기에 옷 입은 것처럼.)처럼 표현.

7연: 도시는 평야.산간지역과달리 닫힌 지역. ->새로운 시각으로 보게 된 것.

움직이지 않고, 사람이 없는 런던은 아름답고 달콤한 의지대로 흐른다. 사람들은 자고 있다. ->시대배경. 사람을 사람 그대로 평가하자. 공화제. 강이 제 의지대로 흐릇, 자유롭게 모든 사회가 이루어져야 한다는 뜻이 들어있는 건 아닐까.

워즈워드가 프랑스에 유학을 갔다. 혁명&전쟁이 일어나서 사귄 연인을 버리고 그 후로 누이와 살았다. 1802년 다시 프랑스로 떠나려고 했을 때, 그 아침 런던을 보고 쓴 시. 원래 워즈워드는 자연을 노래했다. 도시를 보고 시를 쓰지 않았다. 워즈워드는 특징적. 영국농촌의 아름다움, 자연을 그렸다.
