제일 중요한 것은 not과 no의 구별입니다.
not은 than 이전까지의 부정....
no는 than 앞, 뒤 모두 부정....

먼저, [not 비교급 than] 과 [no 비교급 than]을 설명합니다.
She is not more beautiful than my girlfriend.
not은 than이전까지 부정이니까 단순히 "그녀는 내 여자친구보다 예쁘지 않다"가 됩니다.
She is no more beautiful than my girlfriend.
no는 양쪽 다 부정 하니까 "그녀도 예쁘지 않고, 내 여자 친구도 예쁘지 않다",
즉 "양쪽 다 못났다".....

결국 [no 비교급 than] 은 [as 반대원급 as] 정도로 볼 수 있습니다.

즉, He is not wiser than you. [그는 너보다 현명하지 못하다] : 상대방에 대한 칭찬.
He is no wiser than you. = He is as foolish as you. 정도로 : 양쪽에 대한 비난.
정도로 볼 수 있습니다.
이것을 [no more than] 에 적용해 보면
He has no more than 100$. [no more than]은 [as 반대원급 as]이니까
He has as few as 100$. 즉, He has only 100$.
즉, no more than = only 입니다. 이렇게 해도 못알아 들으면 외우는 방식으로 적용시킵니다. [[[노모단지]] 로....
그다음 [not more than] 은 not 은 than 이전까지 부정이니까
He has not more than 100$. 은 "100$보다 더 이상 가지고 있지는 않다"
기껏해야 100$ 가지고 있다. 즉 [[[not more than = at most]] 입니다.
그 다음 [no less than]은 no 는 양쪽 부정, 즉 [as 반대원급 as] 이니까
no less than = as much as 가 됩니다.
He has no less than $100. "그는 100$ 만큼이나 가지고 있다"
그래도 못 알아들으면 외우는 방식으로 적용시킵니다. [[노래만큼]] 으로...
그 다음 [not less than]은 not 은 than 이전까지 부정이니까
He has not less than $100. "그는 100$보다 적게 가지고 있지는 않다"
"적어도 100$ 갖고 있다." 즉, [[not less than = at least]] 가 됩니다.
이것을 [not less 원급 than]과 [no less 원급 than] 에 적용시키면
My girlfriend is not less beautiful than yours.
not 은 than 이전까지 부정이니까, "내 여친은 네 여친 보다 절대 못 낫지는 않다"
즉, My girlfriend is at least as beautiful as yours.
즉 [not less 원급 than] 은 [at leat as 원급 as] 정도의 의미입니다.
이제 [no less 원급 than]을 보면
My girlfriend is no less beautiful than yours.
no 은 양쪽 부정이니까, "as (much) 원급 as"의 의미로
My girlfriend is as beautiful as yours. 로 똑 같이 예쁘다는 뜻이 됩니다.
